About Us

Our vision at TGS is to offer the best education to students in the country, Early Years through to university entrance.

In addressing our concerns regarding the climate situation, we have extended our campus and built a ‘Green Campus’ giving our children ownership, awareness, and responsibility to the world at large in caring for our climate.

Our teaching staff is well qualified and at the same time we encourage them to continue their professional studies to gain further qualifications. With regular in-house training and workshops, we envision their growth to become that of world-class practitioners, allowing both teachers and students to hold their own anywhere in this ever-changing world.

Our mission is to develop every child’s academic, moral, social, emotional, and physical being through a learning experience that recognises every child as an individual but also as an effective contributor to society.

To enhance the teaching profession using Western Methodology, offering our children a safe, creative, and happy learning environment with first-class results.

We aim to teach our children how to learn and how to love to learn by recognising that all children learn differently and acknowledging the different intelligences.

Founder's Message

The decision to develop a school is not an easy or light decision as it is a long-term commitment involving the lives and future of the most precious asset, our children. Having enjoyed a career in education in Australia and then 35 wonderful years in my previous school in Hong Kong it was only made easy by the need for educating the children of my Sri Lankan family and my own grandson. What better reason to take on such a responsibility. After many challenging years running an international school in a country which presented many challenges, we have arrived at a place I could never have imagined arriving and one that exceeds all of my expectations. Our plans for our future development, our quality of teaching, our community outreach and our excellent reputation makes the challenges all worthwhile. I thank all the people involved in the development of TGS, in particular, Mr Ziham for his tireless effort in supporting me and making TGS the success it is. I look forward to sharing TGS with the next generation of our graduates in the coming years.

I am pleased to extend my warmest welcome to you as the Principal of TGS. We believe that education is not just about the acquisition of knowledge but also the nurturing of character, values, and a lifelong love for learning. Our school is more than just a place of academic achievement; it is a place where students grow, explore, and build the foundation for their future. We mainly focus on empowering our students to be confident in their own uniqueness and skills by providing them with a platform to enhance different attributes in their character. Our school is committed to developing socially responsible individuals in a safe, creative and educationally challenging environment that encourages students to be clear about their values and responsibilities to the community.
